PingPlotter comes in three editions. For a detailed list of differences in these editions, visit our feature comparison page.
PingPlotter Standard (previously called Ping Plotter Shareware or Ping Plotter 2.x) is a network troubleshooting and diagnostic tool for Windows. It uses a combination of traceroute, ping, and whois to collect data quickly, and then allows you to continue to collect data over time to give you the information you really need to identify problems (both short-term and long-term trends). PingPlotter is unique in its ability to collect data (over a period of hours, days or weeks), and then allow you to focus on particular aspects of that data to determine where the problem is happening. PingPlotter graphically shows problems in a way that allows you to shorten the time it takes to pinpoint a problem.
PingPlotter Pro takes the features and benefits of PingPlotter Standard and adds a number of "industrial strength" features. PingPlotter Pro is built for the network professional who might need to monitor multiple targets simultaneously, run as a Windows service, or access PingPlotter remotely through a web interface. PingPlotter Pro also adds some features for the VoIP professional, with Jitter and MoS calculations, plus the ability to add user-defined metrics and calculations. Coupling this with a multi-target summary screen, workspaces, named configurations (and a whole lot more!), PingPlotter Pro is a powerful tool with a place in any administrator's toolbox.
PingPlotter Freeware is the "original" PingPlotter, bringing fast, effective and graphical traceroute-based troubleshooting to anyone for free. With graphical output, multi-threaded query engine and "copy as image" capability, PingPlotter Freeware is useful tool for individuals who need a light-weight, no-cost tool for running repeated traceroutes to a target. |
